Overall experience was fine.

Surgical treatment was great, however when waking up I was unaware of what was going on around me so was unable to listen or respond to much, and once I returned to the unit I had been told that the Doctor had spoken to me in recovery and not when I had properly come around. I didn’t appreciate this as I was very confused and didn’t know what had happened during the surgery. I even proceeded to ask the nurse when they doctor/surgeon was coming to debrief me. I was also asked not even 10 minutes after getting back from the recovery room into the day surgery unit, if I could go wait in the waiting room for my lift home. I was appalled at this as I was in a lot of pain, still very wobbly, and not ready to walk anywhere and I was being asked to leave.
