Professionalism with great kindness. Encouragement and optimism from both nursing and HCA staff. Plenty of empathy and willingness to listen. Never forgetting personal dignity. Doctors sensible and friendly and informative. Therapists innovative, firm but thoughtful. Big change I would like to make however, is to include the patient (those who wish and are mentally capable) in the care plan recording and planning should be open be open to the patient which will thereby assist his/her own recovery. No secret records.
