I am writing on behalf of my 89 year old Mum who needed treatment. A gash to her leg which needed cleaning and patching with a large number of steristrips. We arrived around 7pm. I completed the necessary form and a male nurse was chatting to Mum within 5 minutes to give her Paracetamol and advise that someone would treat her soon. We were taken through after about a 15 minutes wait and Mum was put in the paediatric cubical (only one free) which caused a lot of laughter and comment. Our nurse (didn't get her name) could not have been kinder. Mum was in some pain and very shaken, but her treatment was superb. Simple and easy aftercare advice was given as we left. We left the MIU in under an hour. A big thank you to you all for your kindness and care. Writing this the day after and Mum is feeling much better and praising the nurse who looked after her.
