My 7yr old son was injured. The staff addressed him directly, communicating in a way he could understand. His assessments were fun, making him feel relaxed. The nurse practitioner examined him with some play involved and asked him things like ‘is your vision blurred’ but then repeated in a more simple way when he answered to quickly with ‘does mummy look like she always does or does she look different since you hit your head’ It was very clear what I needed to watch for, what to do if he got worse and what to expect over the next few days.

No suggestions, it was brilliant
