I went to get a coil inserted. Was very nervous but Miss Sajjad talked me through it and put me at ease. Procedure went smoothly and was soo much better than I expected. I would highly recommend Miss Sajjad

Admitted via A&E on Wed 22 January 2025 at approx 9pm. with pancreatitis. Complaint: it appeared to be the ambulance driver making the decision as to which hospital I should be taken to, despite my making clear my strong desire to go to Charing Cross Hospital; I had suffered a previous pancreatitis attack a month earlier, and was treated there. It seemed obvious that I should go to the same facility, and I was very unhappy to be going to an unknown facility. The following morning, an A&E doctor asked me what I was doing there, and why I wasn't in Charing Cross. Complaint: Spent the night in an A&E cubicle. Taken by a junior A&E staff member up to Osterley 2, 3rd Floor, having been assured that a bed was finally available, after c.19 hours. On arrival it was not available (previous occupant had not yet left). Waited until around 4pm, sitting in an armchair on the ward, until bed was free. Complaint: general staff competency was bad on this ward (with some exceptions). Patients were ignored when asking for help. Staff at nursing station were seen chatting to each other rather than nursing patients. Ward Manager(?) was seen once (after 6 days), instilling no confidence in her knowledge and management of the ward. Young male nurses in particular need much better training. Complaint: Management of my discharge day after surgery was shocking. Waited around for guidance, finally given c. 15 mins notice, so no time to organise transport. The consultant(?) did not visit me before discharge (though she did walk past my bed), so no opportunity to ask any questions about possible concerns at home, eg diet, and what to expect with bodily functions post-surgery. Had to get public transport home (bus and train), as no taxis evident. One medication not available from pharmacy, was told to return next morning to get it. I did not. Friend bought it for me over the counter. I will never return to this hospital, nor would ever recommend that anyone else does.

I came to the urgent care centre on Friday 9th February about 5.00pm. I waited with my son who decided to injure his leg at college before a family weekend away in Hampshire. How dare he!!! About 7.00pm I saw a very sick looking Asian lady with I assume her daughter. Even my non observant son said that woman is going to fall any minute. They went to reception to tell them the details but she could hardly stand. The doctor at the counter near reception called them quickly & did some checks. He then took them to another part of the urgent care but the part that was heartwarming was that the doctor offered his arm to the lady. He walked with her arm in arm as he spoke to her. This was the sort of image you see on tv. A stunning doctor in scrubs walking with his sick patient arm in arm with a smile. Sounds like a scene from an American movie!! He had dark hair and tanned complexion. Thank you for being you! My son is fine. But yesterday he fell at football. There is no hope for our weekend in Hampshire.

My mother, 92 years old, was recently hospitalised with multiple traumas after a fall. Well, the staff tried really hard to help and I mean the doctors, the nurses and the physio therapy team, for which I am very grateful. Everything was fine if not a serious situation with covid. In the same area (Osterley 1) patients with covid were admitted. No serious measures were taken by the hospital despite the risk of spread of covid. The result is that we both, my mother and I, who care about her, were infected at the hospital and we have now covid. Notice that now, also my husband who has cancer is at risk to be granted with covid. I can't really understand how a hospital of a civilised country took this kind of decision without carrying for the safety of the patients. In my opinion the patients must be the priority of any medical institution and this decision has no excuse in my opinion. Moreover, it is completely unacceptable to allow patients with covid stay in the same area with other patients, especially in a period when covid still there, the vaccinations are limited, and there are no regulations to protect people. I discover that there are patients with covid in the same area accidentally and I was shocked but even then no measures were taken. The situation wasn't even announced, which mean that the hospital tried to hide it and no tests were done. This doesn't correspond to safety of sick people. Now we are struggling to deal not only with the traumas of my mother but also with covid and its complications both of us. After this experience I am not sure that we can really trust this hospital, or possibly all the hospitals of this country. My though is that for the safety of people must be the medical staff who takes decisions and who is responsible for patients and no the administration of the hospital. Patients must be the first priority of all in any case.

The hospital took no measures to protect patients from covid. Moreover there was no information about this fact and who is personally responsible for this criminal decision to leave patients with covid actually in the same area where there was common corridor and no measures of protection. We catch covid in the hospital. I am wondering is in the UK respect of the human life at all?

The doctors and nurses were very kind and encouraging. Nothing was too much someone was always there to help. They explained everything they did in a way th at was easy to understand. My experience at West Middlesex hospital during out patient treatment and during my stay after surger y was five star. I couldn't complain. I was very lucky.
