Share review of Warwick Hospital
Early on Thursday 14th September, I came Warwick hospital in great pain, evidently due to acute appendicitis. Here are how the departments performed:
Surgical Assessment Unit - I was attended to by Lisa (Corcoran?), who noticed that I was in such pain that I could not sit down, in the waiting area. Having spotted this, she moved me to a bed so I could be more comfortable. Next, as she was about to use a piece of equipment, another person came to take it elsewhere. Lisa was assertive in a most professional manner - and was able to retain the critical piece of equipment in order to help me. The way she handled this difficult situation was excellent.
Chaplaincy - while waiting for my CT scan, I had a visit from Rob - a volunteer from the chaplaincy. Well done to him for volunteering to talk to people who may be going through difficult or painful times. I enjoyed our chat.
I was impressed with all the porters and their careful and diligent manner when moving me around the hospital.
Catering was excellent, I had some nice filling and healthy meals - and the staff were polite and friendly.
The CT scan team (on Thursday 14/9/23) were excellent.
The surgical team evidently did a brilliant job, my thanks to the team. It must seem a tiring and thankless task, it is appreciated.
In the Hatton Ward, I wish to pass on my grateful thanks to Amy and Bev (night team) and Lyndsay and Shannon (day team). All were excellent and attentive.
Yours faithfully - Mr M Dolphin
