I had some difficulties with another patient targeting me and she was eventually moved to a unit with higher security.
The staff were kind respectful and understanding. In particular Tendayi and Thoko on nights and Adel, Tahli, and Teone in the day times. Also Georgia the activity co-ordinator went above and beyond and was absolutely fantastic. Dr Tsatalou was understanding and I felt listened to when discussing my childhood trauma.
I have had several admissions to this ward, the most recent due to depression and the improvement from admission to discharge was significant and profound.

Our son is much approved to how he was when admitted.

My child has thrived since coming to highfield. The quality of care and commitment to the young people and their families is impeccable. The school has been amazing at supporting our daughter and the staff here are amazing. Special thanks to Sarah Firth for outstanding compassion and care .

I had to send a reminder email myself to the team to receive the result of my consult.

I would have preferred not to receive sentences in the lines of "you are not thinking of killing yourself at the moment we will refer you back to your GP and talking space."
