I felt that I was treated in an inhumane manner. The manager informed me that staff were not allowed to communicate with me, nor I with them and if I were to do so then the door of the room I was in would be closed. I was enclosed in a room with no view of the outside world for 48 hours and felt as though I was imprisoned and could not breathe. I was highly distressed. My family came to visit me and weren't allowed to see me, if I was a 'normal' patient then this would not have been the case. I feel as though my human rights were totally violated. 1.5 years later and I still get flashbacks about this and feel as though I will never get over this horrific experience.
