Appointments were almost always late and on one occasion missed entirely. One day the duty phone was not answered - I got through to a receptionist who said someone would call us back, no call back that day and could not get through for the rest of the day. Staff seemed like they wanted to do more to help, and have at times been very kind and helpful, but they were extremely short staffed and it seemed overworked, having a major impact on care. At times, this came across as uncompassionate and felt very chaotic. Care coordinator made assumptions about me based on my diagnosis, which made me lose trust; it didn’t seem that anything was much known about what was helpful/unhelpful for my condition. As I said, it seems like the staff really did want to help but just no time to get to know me properly or my mental health needs.

Suggested improvements
Knowing more about my particular diagnosis - what is helpful and unhelpful. More staff - I really did understand when the staff said they were short staffed and that’s why appointments were late or missed (without warning), but that can be difficult to manage especially when there’s nothing you can do about it and your mental health is already difficult to manage.
