Share review of Warneford Hospital
There were a handful of very nice and attentive staff, but the system wouldn't listen to their recommendations.
There were others that were just ticking a box and not listening to my needs at all. And others that were arrogant and made huge assumptions about my needs.
I was discharged in the middle of a very unstable period, despite my support worker strongly recommending that I remain on the service. Their threshold for "well enough" is laughable at best, dangerous at worst.
I was discharged without my medication being stabilised. It is not appropriate for my GP to have to work it out (although she really tries!)
I don't think anyone there knows enough about bipolar and their approach is limited as a result. They also don't seem to understand different episodes within bipolar. (I suggest you do a lot of reading about mixed episodes)
