This experience showed the NHS at its best: All staff helpful and caring. We were seen punctually and not rushed through the appointment. Given plenty of information and the opportunity to ask questions. Dr McShane and Nurse Maureen Cundall were very thoughtful and kind in their dealings with my husband and me. In spite of the diagnosis we felt cared for. Can't see how it could be improved!

I am the main carer for my son who has recently had a serious mental health problem. The support and care he has had has been remarkable and those involved have also been very supportive of and engaged with me. I cannot praise the service more highly and I am very grateful to all those involved.

Thank you doctors and nurs3s on Vaughan Thomas for helping me to recover from a really horrible experience, I have been treated with warmth and compassion throughout my time on the ward, Dr B Matron G all the nurses Olivia and Andras all have been brilliant

When our son came into hospital it was the worst day of our life, his mental and physical health was so poor and our relationship had deteriorated to the point where we felt it would never repair, we did not know what to expect, and were fearful for his future Vaughan Thomas ward have been outstanding, the care and support for our son and for us too, our son has been treated with warmth and compassion he has made a tremendous recovery, physically and mentally in such a better place, our relationship has improved and we have all been on the receiving end of an excellent team of doctors and nurses and want to say a huge Thankyou we never expected to see such progress and feel we have our son back

The weekly have your say meeting is good. The daily planning meeting is good. The nurses, HCA's and housekeeping staff are all really nice, patient and don't talk down to you but talk to you on a friendly level. As does the OT.

Don't need anymore care and improvement. Everything is fine, food etc. Staff are pleasant and courteous under a lot of pressure. They are lovely to me.
