Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery

The hospital is something special , I have never felt so lucky and safe in their care. All the staff I met and had contact with went above and beyond. The admin staff, cleaners, nurses, consultants and surgeons were amazing. I had DBS the support I have received is second to none. Big thanks to everyone especially Mr Osman Farah my surgeon. You have all helped me so much

Most of the staff I have dealt with at the Walton Centre have been pleasant, helpful, sympathetic. I like the booking in system and the promptness of being seen.

I don’t have any constructive suggestions to make, other than improving the length of time it takes to provide the medication to take home after the procedure. One of my copatients became quite annoyed with the delay he endured. As they are probably standard could they be pre-prepared?

Every single staff member that looked after me whilst I was an inpatient at The Walton Centre were nothing short of amazing. The nursing staff, HCA’s, the housekeeping team & the catering team were all so friendly and nothing was too much for them. They all treated me with respect and dignity at what was a very worrying time. All staff kept me well informed of what was going on and kept my worries at bay. I can’t thank them all enough for their hard work and care they showed me whilst i was an inpatient.

My experience at the Walton centre was second to none after a fall I had resulting in a broken neck and a fractured spine . I can’t thank the surgeon Mr Stovel enough . Before surgery he explained everything so thoroughly and in basic terms I could understand he made me feel safe and in very capable hands he was amazing. I honestly can’t believe how incredible theses surgeons are I remember thinking oh my there like a god and I feel so lucky to still be here surrounded by all my wonderful family so i thank you from the bottom of my heart. I remember coming round after surgery feeling very grateful and emotional as I thought I may not be able to to walk again along with lots of other risks that could’ve happened. My recovery on the ward was also amazing I got to know many staff members that I had become very friendly with after being there about 3 weeks I started having to write there names down there was that many I wanted to remember and mention. It’s amazing how you just seem to hit it off with particular ppl a few in particular that made my days much more bearable and always made me smile . We had such great bonds and always lots of fun times together. Jo being my absolute legend who made me feel so comfortable whilst she cared for me in lots of different ways . Hailly Lisa who worked tirelessly and nothing was ever too much for them the staff at Walton are most definitely in my opinions angels . The list I have is endless from cleaners medical staff right up to our lovely catering staff and each and everyone shone to me and where a massive aid in my recovery and I apologise if I miss any or spell incorrectly there are so many there’s physio staff there’s therapist oh my word so many . Anyway not in any particular order as I say just a few names I jotted down and they are all one in a million and I will never forget and I am so grateful to each and every one of you your all amazing and worth your weight in gold thankyou so much and god bless you all.
