I was admitted as emergency - in great pain and vomiting. Paramedics very professional kind and helpful. Saw a doctor within minutes, and assisted appropriately. Moved to SAU. Marvellous care all night. On discharge next day, given all help and info. Ward clerk took me to taxi be wheelchair - was given lunch in dayroom while waiting for discharge medication! All staff concerned for care and very kind and pleasant.
There was a nurse on the stroke unit who was pregnant and was neither use or ornament. She clearly had no interest in the job and should not have been there doing such work.Whenever she was on duty seemed to spend more time entertaining kids.
There were also staff with visible tattoos which are quite ugly to look at and unnecessary. If people choose to have tattoos, they shouldn't being having a career dealing with sick patients.
waiting room area far to small for the number of people attending as more than one clinic going on at the same time. very little room for wheelchair users. staff always polite and helpful.
This is a modern well organised hospital dealing in advanced heart surgery for the North West of England. The service to all patients is of the highest standards. Ward 38 in which I received post operative care could not have been better. Many thanks.
I was not happy with my experience at this clinic I feel I was coerced into having a mammogram which I did not want. On the plus side karen the nurse on duty was very compassionate
The care I received was brilliant. I would like to thank all the staff concerned,Donna who admitted me and kept me informed all through the day. Special praise should go to Nurse Elizabeth Taylor (Beth) who was the most professional, kind and caring person I have met in a long time. She made my treatment bearable and helped me get through it. She also gave exceptional care to all the other patients on the ward.
Thank you.
My mother stayed on the observation ward for 5 days, the Healer care assistants were brilliant to my mother in no particular order Adele, Adan and Robert they spent time with mum made her feel welcome. Fresh water just every day (can't say that about AMU). Overall very caring staff, thank you
