Review of Aylesbury Vale Day Hospital
19th May 2024

- Went through the different topics in a timely manner - I find most, if not all, of the sessions very useful not only for being able to work on myself, but it gave me some wonderful insight to how others in the program were taking on board the information, and It felt really comforting knowing I wasn't the only one who at times felt some difficulty from time to time with the subjects. (radical acceptance & regulating emotions as an example were very touchy subjects, found myself welling up a lot post session) - I think this is just me being lucky, but I can say I felt encouraged to keep attending because there was one other person who kept going as well, even when they weren't feeling 100%.

Suggested improvements
Not really sure what improvements I would ask for, given the nature of how the ATP sessions work. I would've liked to have some support after the ATP sessions, maybe like a check-in. But its not really something I'm desperate for, since I suppose I can reach out, though I do find difficulty in doing this. I dont know. I don't like asking for more assistance knowing how tightly packed these sessions feel (people joining and going) But that's just how it works, and looking at the upsides, there are plenty that outweigh my very minor issues I have.

The staff are friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do on the ward such as able tennis, good going for a walk and doing things in the activity centre.

Suggested improvements
I would like to go out on more leave.
