Think carefully before going here. I went in for a simple procedure - a hysteroscopy - to get an endometrium biopsy (to rule out cancer) and, if they found a polyp, have that removed. When I came to, I had had a laparoscopy which is major surgery. I was very groggy when the Registrar came to speak to me about what had happened. I barely remember it. The nurse (who was lovely) told me that the Registrar was going to call me the next day to let me know what had happened and why I had gone under GA for a simple procedure and woke with major surgery. She didn't call. Over a week later, I called and she told me that she had been too busy to call me. I asked her for the results of my biopsy and she told me that she would chase them and get back to me that evening. After several days, she hadn't contacted me so I contacted her again and she told me that they didn't get the biopsy because I was bleeding too heavily. I have requested to speak to the consultant several times and he has not contacted me. I have spoken to the ward manager who told me she did not have the details. I resorted to trying to call their Marketing department out of desperation to see if they would help me. I left a voicemail and no response. It is now 3 weeks and 2 days since I had major surgery and nobody will give me the details. I am resorting to writing reviews in the hope that somebody in the Sloane will see this and call me because I am terrified. I still don't know if I have cancer and I don't know what they did to my body while I was under GA.
