The staffing level in the blood room is clearly in need of review. The under staffing is causing a regular bottle neck which in my experience can run to 70 minutes. The knock on effect of delays in other departments must lead to significant inefficiencies - not a smooth flow process. Whilst recognizing that staff resources are limited, I believe an increase in blood room staffing levels would benefit patients and staff.
