Nurse should be allowed to nurse, and not have to do all the admin ,that could be done by a secretary . In this age of technology, and especially when doing observations ,why ain't these pieces of equipment on a network system that automatically downloads information when a nurse does their four hourly observations of a patient . Tec never seems to be used to its full potential , and in saying that nor are the staff who are being compromised by the mountain of paperwork that could be cut by using technology to serve humanity rather than hider to the point of collapse .The savings in paper and form generating would be substantial but by far the best improvement would be that a nurses would be able to do the vocational job that they trained to do,NURSE.
