As its a major trauma ward I'm not going to be recommending it! (Q1). Overall standard of care was very high. There were a couple of nurses who were not always as helpful as they could have been but plenty more who were excellent. After my op, what I needed most was sleep but that was usually not possible due to noise, lights on until late being too hot or too cold etc.
