Where do I start.I was really apprehensive about having a hip replacement operation partly because I was only 55 years old.I had put it off for about 6 years and had done a lot of damage.I was going to be under Mr James Wong from the very first consultation I knew he was going be a fantastic surgeon and he was.i can not thank him Enough it’s like a miracle being able to walk again.My whole experience with the Holly has been amazing I’m trying to think of anything negative to say and I can’t even the coffee is nice.I had to stay in the Holly for about 4 nights after my operation private room wonderful nurses and staff food great.After such a big operation they took great care of me so it’s a real big thank you to the Holly and Mr James Wong take a bow # changed my life.

When I entered the building every member of staff were helpful in giving me directions and helping me register my car number. Comfortable chairs and coffee was available. My appointment was on time. I cannot fault the surgery team. I felt comfortable and reassured at all times. And Dr Wisam Al-Haklin was marvellous in explaining in detail what the problem was with my hand, and what exercises I would need to perform after surgery to get my mobility back. The operation was successful. And I am grateful I went to Holly House, and if I ever need more treatment I would happily return.

If you need medical attention, then The Holly is the nicest place to receive it. Everyone there is so kind and patient, the place is spotless and just a lovely place to have appointments and procedures. I have been there many times this year and found both the care from the doctors, nurses and administrative second to none. I would highly recommend it. I have been to several other private hospitals over the years but The Holly is still my favourite.

All the medical staff were very caring. I would like to mention Zoe and Catherine, both in Cedar Ward. They both went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable. The in house doctors both night and day were very supportive. They came on a daily basis to check that I was ok. The house keeping team were very good and they did respect my privacy. Most of the catering staff were very good, apart from one elderly lady, who made it obvious that she did not like serving me. She worked on the morning of the 29/10 . She always brought my food cold and uncovered and she would put it on the furthest part of the table, where I was forced to stretch myself after a major surgery. She will require training on customer service. Apart from that, my stay in Cedar ward was very comfortable and the staff are second to none.

The Holly is a private hospital. I was an NHS patient but I was never made to feel any less important or that my care and wellbeing were not the first priority. The staff was always kind, polite, caring, efficient and friendly. The staff check on patients constantly, taking temperatures, ensuring the patient is drinking enough, making sure the patient is comfortable and pain free. My room was very clean and comfortable and the meals were lovely with various dishes to choose from. The physiotherapists were very encouraging and friendly and patient explaining exercises and how to navigate stairs and use crutches. I cannot fault the nursing staff at Holly House they were cheerful, caring and always made you feel that the wellbeing of their patients was indeed their priority. I had a wonderful experience at Holly Hospital from the first appointment and then operation to the aftercare. I cannot thank them enough.

I was treated at the holly by Dr Wisam Al-Hakim for an ulner nerve release. Throughout initial consultation to diagnostic tests i was given all the information i needed about my condition and the options i had to help rectify it. Surgery day i was greeted politely asked which lunch i would like after my operation then took into the pre op ward. After surgery i was well looked after, watered and fed very well while recovering, then my partner was contacted to say i could go home. Overall a very nice experience!
