I had knee arthroscopy in October 17 with a good outcome. My only criticism about my care was that the surgery was delayed during the day and put back. I was aware that the staff knew this but was allowed to become very dehydrated resulting in a terrible headache and feeling really awful prior to the surgery. To have been allowed some fluids with clearer communication about timing of the surgery would certainly have improved my experience. The delay was 5hours later than planned. Better care by communicating with theatre from the ward and then offering some fluid was required.
