Needs more disabled parking bays,The staff on the Stafford ward were very good very kind and helpful following my operation.My only complaint is a pharmacy lady that came to my room called Lydia,was very rude and abrupt with me in front of my family.Other than that a very nice place.

The hospital was extremely clean and all the staff were lovely, especially a nurse named Natasha who worked on ward Chester, who was exceptionally nice and really went the extra mile to for fill my needs and nothing seemed to much, she was a lovely lady and I'll always remember you :) xx

I have been to the Alexandra Hospital a few times now and on each occasion I have been treated with great respect and dignity. The staff are very helpful, always polite and pleasant and have made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in. This is not only the staff at reception but also when I have stayed overnight after surgery. I was kept informed at all times of my surgery and what would be happening and the nurses and staff were on hand if I needed anything. They were able to answer my questions and any concerns I had. I didn't feel like I was in a hospital, more like a hotel so that made me feel calmer. The care and service provided is second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Alexandra.

A very tired dated hospital. Paid privately and had a little electric heater in the Bathroom and the nursing staff had to get an oil heater for my room and the heating in my room was broken. The rooms were dated the light above the bed did not work unless u got out of bed to actually switch it off! The room did not warrant a private Fee!! What did make up was the staff. I found them courtesy, professional, compassionate and over all totally a very attentive team, apart from the night shift nurse who was abrupt and found difficulties in understanding my needs!! I felt a nuisance!! If it wasn’t for the poor condition of the hospital in itself I would totally recommend it but I’m afraid I pay the extra and go somewhere else!! Sorry guys!!

Short review this but straight to the point. The team at The Alexandra are fantastic, polite, professional etc...Choose any superlative you like... Simply, fantastic service on my recent visits. Its a shame that the building works seem to be taking a long time.

I spent 10 nights at the Alexdra Hospital including 1 night in ITU and 2 nights in HDU following major surgery. My main consultant Mr Richard Slade was fantastic and I had complete faith and confidence in him. I was seen daily by him for the duration of my stay and I have made a rapid recovery due to his surgical ability. He is a perfect gentleman too and very caring. All of the staff from the cleaners, caterers and nursing staff were also fantastic and always made time for you even if they were very busy. Could not fault the place and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I found difficulty in explaining that I was paying for this checkup privately and not through Simply Health, so I had to leave it and wait for Simply Health to reject it.

An inadequate hospital this hospital fail to have trained staff on duty which are able to carry appropriate basic duties, they do not carry basic stock of essential medicines, sends patients home with infections, most of the ward staff are agencies which means no continuity of care, outpatient nurses are exceptionally rude, insensitive and management cause, avoid at all costs. Certainly not compassionate about care.
