No improvements necessary.
At the Alex you are greeted with manners, you are not looked down up on. The service through out is just as you would expect every on has manners, you are never dismissed
The only comment I would make about this hospital is that the reception staff can be slightly off hand.
Nursing staff and doctors are very considerate and friendly
I traveled from the Isle of Man for a laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair and was incredibly impressed by all aspects of the hospital and its staff, from initial consultation through pre-op, the procedure itself and then post-op.
Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional and a credit to BMI The Alexandra Hospital
I had an amazing experience at The Alex. Absolutely everyone was so professional and knowledgable and I absolutely believe that this made a huge difference to my recovery. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I so appreciated all the hard work that goes into this. Thank you to everyone you are a wonderful team and have changed so much for me and my Family...it doesn't get any better than that! So many Thanks.
Very good care and treatment
Great care, great experience.

I attended this hospital as a day care patient, I had a small umbilical hernia repair done. The care and attendance was truly excellent, the hospital was exceptionally clean and the room I had was perfect. The nursing staff were very efficient and really lovely.
A very content patient.
I have attended the hospital on three occasions for blood tests. On two of those ocassions the care was superb. However, on one occasion, the care was appalling. The first nurse had no idea what she was doing, and she informed me of this. I was kept waiting for a very long time for the blood tests to start, a senior consultant had to be called at one stage to simply insert a cannula, as the staff on the ward were unable to do so. I asked to see the ward sister, but I waited hours for this to happen. Various excuses. The tests are about three hours long, in intervals. I arrived at the hospital, which was expected, at about 8:20 am, I finally left at about 14:40 - over six hours. It was necessary to fast for these tests, from about I believe 10pm the previous evening. As a result of the delays, I was discharged, very distressed, without a meal, just a rushed sandwich and a gulp of coffee. The staff were aware that the journey home would take over four hours. The following day, I received a large display of flowers from the hospital
I complained. The complaint was not handled well. I complained again, and the response was virtually 'cut and paste' from the first response. I was then asked to travel there to receive an apology. I refused. I was offered a conference call. This did not materialise, but I did speak to, I believe, the Director of Nursing, and, on a separate occasion to someone else, who said she would call me back after taking advice. This did not happen. I did receive a letter explaining the reason for these events, but this has never been resolved to my satisfaction.
