I do not think that my initial consultation could be improved. I was treated with dignity and respect by both members of the staff I had to see and they were friendly and did not make me feel inferior in any way. (My treatment for the same complaint many years ago was very different). I had to have an examination, I was asked if I wanted a chaperone and the examination did not make me feel undignified - that was important to me. The atmosphere amongst the other members of staff, who were having a meeting or who had had a short meeting, was very good. They seemed to me to respect each other and be happy working in that hospital.
