The carers checked in advance to let me know when they were coming, and arrived promptly. They were polite, friendly and very professional. After introductions they always asked my partner if it was all right for them to carry out whichever aspect of care (eg mouth care, checking his convene, re-positioning him -) that was appropriate; they were really kind and you just knew that they were doing their best for my partner. They respected his dignity at all times. The patient was very near end-of-life and on his last night, She phoned his children for me, explaining what was likely to happen, taking that load off me. She contacted the district nurse for us to arrange an extra shot of pain relief, so she took a lot of worry off my shoulders. I do not think we could have had any better support, and I feel very lucky to have been offered your services. I am sure it made the patient passing much more comfortable and stress - free than it would have been of I would had to cope by myself.
