I was given the time I needed. Listened to. And I felt involved in my care. Very caring and professional.

I had trouble hearing him due to a bad line.

[name removed] listened to me, didn’t speak down to me. Was very caring and professional, as was the other lady in the meeting, I forget her name but she was shadowing [name removed] for the day. Since I met with [name removed], she has called me to check on me and let me know she hasn’t forgotten about me, no one’s ever don’t that for me before from this service. The last few times she called to give me some information I was at at work, therefore I couldn’t answer the phone. She left two full voicemails, explaining what will happen next etc and reminded me of a phone appointment with a doctor I have had booked for me. I received a letter for this appointment so hadn’t forgotten but I thought it was so kind and caring of [name removed] to remind me. She made me feel confident that I will actually get well again this time round unlike other staff from your team I have seen. There was one doctor I had an emergency meeting with approximately 4 years ago, I took my sister in law along for support. The doctor said not to worry he won’t let me down and he will keep on hammering away to get me well and I don’t have to worry anymore. My sister in law and I left and she said that’s great he’s going to help you like that and she felt I was on the right path. I, however wasn’t convinced as I’d heard it before, I have never seen or heard from that doctor again. [name removed] DID NOT make me feel like that at all, I have been let down so many times by professionals, but could always feel before I even left the room that they wouldn’t be able to help me. I left the meeting with [name removed] knowing that she will help me and actually felt positive about my future for the first time in forever, I trusted her straightaway. I can’t sing her praises enough [name removed] is a valuable member of your team, she is so empathetic, caring and friendly, she put me at ease straightaway

Suggested improvements
Nothing really Not [name removed]’s fault but I had to go through what led me to the hospital, eg childhood, abusive relationships, abuse etc. It would be helpful to me and possibly other patients if we were not seeing different people each time so we have to keep relaying the information. I just trying to keep it short and capsulised a lot of it, missing stuff out. It would help hugely if patient notes were read before meetings

Review of Integrated Looked After Children's Service (LAC)
12th March 2022

I attended the managing behaviour with attachment in mind training group with [name removed] and [name removed]. They made the group interesting and enjoyable, and I learned loads about how my child's early life impacts on them in the here and now. It helped me understand more about the empathic approach and to 'stop and think' before responding. I would love to come to the group every week, forever.

Suggested improvements
The group is fab as it is. Nothing!
