I felt safe when I was with all the staff but there was a patient who was really unwell and he ended up punching a staff member in the face there was a few issues with bank staff but the manager was sorting it all the staff made me feel welcome and safe and my first admission went well and I achieved the goals I set out to I found certain staff easier to talk to because I felt a lot better after talking to them and all the staff were really respectful im gonna miss kingfisher ward i had a lot of banter with staff which made me feel a lot better about being in hospital

Suggested improvements
Even if a patient has contraband talk to them calmly instead of being hands on and tearing patients belongings and having a joke with the patients more a lot of the staff are merely minions to their bosses and are tightly wound so its hard to talk to them if they're on shift

I am very sorry you had this experience. I have sent your comments to a senior manager to investigate. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager
