Sling/ process both - the details of luxury mean this safe and well handled both (colored lights, music etc) give a real luxury experience so missing in some paraplegic life. I felt freedom and security at once. The care in washing dressing you so far beyond the basic its amazing. Ann and team are star. *****
I reasonably had a short stay at St. Lukes and the treatment care I had was excellent and it hard to see what you could improve on.
* Personal input by every individual member of the team.
- Kind, compassionate and professional.
* The system breaks down at weekends.
-> Drugs charts have to be altered by Devon doctors.
-> Prescriptions are difficult to source.
The solution: St Lukes nurses should be allowed to prescribe comfort drugs.
When care was first made available Mr. Allan 92, uncle, who lives with us, was very poorly Derriford. The care he received from St. Hukes carers was always kindly and friendly as well as efficient. His mental and physical state improved so much that daily EOL care was no longer required. He now has a twice a week wait from a nurse from the Deron clinical commissioning group to assist with personal needs.
Our thanks to all these excellent carers from St. Hukes who did such a great job in caring for our aged uncle.
The care my husband received was outstanding. I could not have manage with out the nurses.
They were there for me too. They kept David comfortable. They enabled David to die at home as he wished.
The support I and my late wife received was exemplary.
Particular thanks to Amy who is a lovely lady and established a particular rapport with Carole.
Debbie and Andrea were lovely.
They made my husband feel really relaxed.
Their attitude was kind caring and they explain all that they were going to do which made him feel in control of his illness.
All that they were going to put in place happened the same day.
The bed arrived within hours together with table, commode.
I now have all the phone numbers and access which as the carer is such a relief and know that help for me is there when I need it.
The hospice carers where wonderful and were gentle and kind when he was very ill did not the minimum to keep him comfortable and clean.
I will ever be grateful for their kind ans professional help to me and him.
I would highly recommend them to any of my friends ever in need and help.
A very grateful wife.
Donations from the friend will come.
I could not fault the care the nurses gave to my husband. They were very caring, cheerful and did not push you into doing something you didn't want to.
They were fantastic.
