Review of St. Lukes Brooklands - Community Team written by a family member

Fiona was lovely, very tactful and kind. She was very helpful in the kind of things that you wanted. The questions my daughter asked were met with honest answers. I dont feel you need to improve anything about your service.

There is nothing to improve. The care is beyond expectations. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is so kind and understanding. Attention to detail and personal needs is outstanding. We are very grateful to everyone of St Lales.

Smoke! Could smell it in Eddystone! Tap water - all drinks nade from the tap mains and not the filtered water taste disgusting (chemically). I got cups of tea and jugs of water from the nurses tap in the treatment room (nurses got for me!) All the nursing care is absolutely.

My husband passed away in July 2014, here at home having received care and support from the Local Care Team. He did not wish to go into hospital and so I'd said that I would support him in this, I couldn't have done it alone and without the support from the team. My husband's GP came to visit a few times too, he's a lovely man and one my husband had great respect for. It was pure hell for me though, there is no other way of describing it. To see my husband vanishing before your eyes, and sometimes I don't think he knew who I was which was and still is heartbreaking. After the funeral things gradually quietened down, and I felt like a boat without a paddle. I am gradually, slowly trying to pull my world back into some shape, but it's not an easy road to travel.
