At first I was not sure how it would work but the volunteer has been really excellent – it has really taken me aback. She is very gentle, calming pleasant to be around. I see that she has been able to connect with them – her Italian language skills help. It has been lovely for mum. She has a nice, comforting hour with 1-1 attention. It relaxes her, and it relaxes me too knowing she is getting that support.
