Thankful to Wendy for talking during a difficult time. I was isolated during lockdown and it helped to speak with a friendly and wise woman. My life felt in turmoil and it has since because of various factors improved a great deal. We spoke on the phone and it felt unformulaic and often light hearted. Thank you Wendy

Hello! Following the death of my Father at his home and the wonderful care and support provided by the St Helena SinglePoint Team and Bluebird Care, I was offered bereavement counselling via telephone which I decided to go ahead with not really being sure at first that I would need support. Lindy, my Counsellor, was wonderful throughout and professionally identified and worked with me on each area of concern as it appeared and it transpired that I did indeed need professional support to help me through this incredibly difficult time when my Brother was stranded at his home in Canada and unable to visit the UK due to Covid-19. I cannot thank Lindy enough for her cheerful, caring support throughout and also for her depth of knowledge on all aspects of life and death which is absolutely amazing! She has shared with me coping strategies and also provided comfort in that my thoughts and feelings are absolutely normal during the bereavement process which is a relief to know! My Partner, Andrew, asked me 'can Lindy move in with us to help us both?' after my most recent session with her when her considerate and incredibly talented viewpoint and also considerable nursing experience was particularly appreciated!! Thank you Lindy and also to St Helena for being there for my Dad and me at such an awful time (and also for my late Mother who was exceptionally well cared for as an in-patient in 2012) - you all do a wonderful job; words are just not enough... My father was treated by the single point virtual ward team and they treated him with time and care. All the nurses were kind helpful and understanding. These last few days of his life were tenderly Nursed by these teams. I cannot thank you enough for this great service to him and us at a very difficult time.

My mother has been treated with dignity, respect and kindness by all your wonderful staff. Not only do they, care for my mother they support and care, for myself and my aunt. They make a stressful, distressing time a little easier to bear. All your staff are caring, empathetic and totally professional. They are true hero's. As a family we have always been big supporters of St. Helena Hospice and were saddened when you stopped issuing collection boxes.

Over the time I have attended these groups I have always felt I have learn't something to take away from here. Since November when my husband died this has been invaluable to my coping with his loss. Everyone here has been so attentive I have nothing negative to say.
