I found the staff very helpful, friendly and professional. One of my neighbours could see a difference in me since being on the course.
There is only one thing I would add to this already very high standard of care and that is a name brooch for each staff member.
My memory for names is terrible. Two mins after a nurse etc leaves the room it's gone.
I have several times tried to memorize the names on the boards in the reception hall.
The name tags now used are too small to read at a distance.
The hospice bereavement counselors were always helpful and understanding.
Better support could not be found anywhere.
I was satisfied with all I was involved in it. Would be hard to improve in any way.
It was wonderful to be able to speak freely and confidently on a one to one, my counselor was very understanding. The only small negative I would have preferred on reflection, that the room would have been better if it was from the busy reception area.
The staff were kind and caring, they listened if you had a problem, you could have a laugh and joke.
The environment of the centre at Clacton is very welcoming and warm also calm. Bernard is always so friendly towards everyone. Susie Burnby is always so friendly towards everyone.
Susie Burnby my counsellor was fantastic. She was kind, empathetic and took time to understand my needs.
The counselling has made a massive difference to my ability to cope with multiple bereavements - one was extremely complex too.
My grief is understandably ongoing but I know I will survive it - thanks to the help given by Susie.
