I liked everything about the course and may have liked some of the topics in more depth e.g depression, anxiety and relaxing.
It is nice to be with people struggling with the same problems as yourself!
The course has provided me with told to help me manage my condition.
In the morning when I'm feeling very bad and wondering whether to cancel, within minutes of getting to the hospice, with help for my breathing, the exercises and the relaxation, I'm feeling 80% better, thanks to Julia and Tanya and making friendships with the other patients. Being on your own is very lonely.
It was good to meet other people going through breathing and coughing difficulties like myself. Staff were amazing people, very kind and treat you with respect, amazing.
I had the same person every time so we built up a rapport and was treated with empathy and was very professional.
You feel that you are getting personal attention.
Emma is very easy to talk to and although I am older than her the age gap is not so much that I couldn't tell her anything that was in my mind. We have both agreed that at the present time I do not need a lot of support but the connection has been made for the future.
Becky was such a lovely person. I could put my trust in her thanking you.
The care I received was directed to my needs.
Further care was always discussed and relevant.
I felt confident in the care I received and had trust with the member of staff delivering that care.
Very satisfied.
St Helena Hospice was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
