I was grateful at how soon, from referral, I was able to start the Art therapy. I really appreciated having the ability to share non-judgmentally and the offer by the therapist to listen and contain my distress, was immensely important. The consistency of the appointments and being able to discuss my fears about how my information may be shared with other professionals. Being able to discuss the frequency of appointments and being listened to, when I asked if any additional sessions could be requested. There was an issue when I trusted enough to open-up about stuff that had really upset me, a manager upon limited information, decided that my GP should be contacted. I gained a lot of unnecessary stress about this decision. Eventually, this was decided as not being appropriate, due to my individual needs.
