My specialist palliative care nurse is wonderful. Not only does she provide excellent advice and reassurance she has become a friend too.
I contacted the services myself as my wife sadly died of cancer and I was aware of the help and support given during this difficult time and decided that I needed more specialist support when my health deteriorated.
Margaret Young 31, Howard Drive Churchill Park. Caerphilly CF83 390.
With the support the team gave me with my illnes they were also more as support while I was going through a vrey hard time in my personal life trying to deal with networthings at once they were always there on the door ar at the end of the phone and I think they gave me the strength when I didn't think I had any left to give.
Thank you so much ladies.
The palliative nurse who visited my mother in law before she passed away on the 29th May this year was Louise Tayler and we as a family have only praise not just for the care she received but for the manner and kindness she showed both my mother in law and us as a family. She helped us all understand what was available and organised it on our behalf, in order that we were able to care for my mother in law at home until her death. I would wish that any family going through similar circumstances have someone of Louise's quality and standards.
I know I can always contact the team for advice or just to chat.
There have been difficulties with the carers finding our house due to its rural location. Communication could have been better with directions for the carers. Patients son had to often go out late at night to guide carers to location.
