Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment on the St David's Hospice 'Day Centre Team' and service and provision in Newport, South Wales. In July, I was pleased to nominate this team for the South Wales Argus Third Sector/Community Team health and Care Awards 2018. I sincerely hope that they win. The results of which are awaited and due to be announced in September/October 2018. I believe every top team is the product of having a first class-leader and Manager. Helen Fessey is certainly a high caliber leader and manager who sets and maintains the very highest of standards and care within her team. I would grateful if you would please take the time to read the attached nomination proforma, which highlights the excellent standard of care and service provision, I have personally experienced at the St David's Hospice day center.
