The care provided was excellent throughout and always with dignity and respect. My mum felt very safe and trusted the team completely. As a family we feel she made the perfect choice for her end of life care, and not just for mum but for us as a family the support that we received was immense.
Thank you, thank you St. Catherines.
Julie Norris explained clearly my condition and advised how to prevent the swelling in my ECG.
She also explained how to avoid complications ie cellulite and showed me how to apply compression stickings.
Spent lot of time with me, examing my legs and discussing things so I understood.
Julie Norris the nurse specialist was thorough in explaining everything.
This was our first contact and Karen was amazing. She went through everything and reassured both Allan and myself about various issues.
For the support - respect - care - understanding.
From the moment Nic Littler started to work with Mum in the community 2 years ago, including her admittance and care in the in-patient unit at the hospice in Preston, I have been blown away by the care, patience and support afforded to both Mum and my family.
Mum had made it very clear that in her final days, the only place she would feel comfortable being looked after would be St. Catherine's Hospice in Preston. Thanks to the wonderful team there, this was made possible for her and we could not have wished for better care.
Losing a much-loved family member is never easy but Mum's passing was made as comfortable as it could be. For that we are eternally grateful.
Everything was explained in detail.
Caring until the end.
Very pleased with service.
