Nurse Ursula Dugdale greeted me in a warm professional manner. One of my concerns was I might be perceived as a 'time-waster' as my lymphoedema is mild compared to same. However, during my consultation with nurse Dugdale, I realised how much of the advice I had been given initially, I had forgotten. I learned how repetitive exercise can be a problem, was given a demonstration on how to massage my arm to aid drainage ( I hadn't been doing this correctly) reminded of the importance of keeping my skin moist and supple; shown and had explained to me a chart of lymphatic system, how care must be taken to avoid infection and should infection occur, 2 weeks of strong antibiotics must be taken. I felt my consultation in good spirits and well informed. Excellent.
