Having moved my wife from the medical assessment unit at Chorley, the peace and quiet of st Catherine's was like entering a different world. She was given a large room where family could visit or stay over at any time during her stay. She was monitored 24/7 and given pain relief as and when required, her personal hygiene was taken care of extremely efficiently and she was offered but sadly couldn't accept the array of foods that were offered. The staff from entering the building where the receptionist,care assistants,nurses and doctors were both kind and understanding to our situation. I would also commend Charlotte and Emma who visited my wife prior to her confinement.
