I first used the Washington Spire for knee replacement surgery as a NHS patient two years ago. The surgery was a 100% success and I have had no problems whatsoever. One aspect of this procedure is worth mentioning,I was scheduled to have a MRI scan prior to surgery and was offerd an appointment on the day I was to fly out of Newcastle on holiday, I telephoned the hospital and explained the problem, the hospital re scheduled my scan at 8am which gave me enough time to get my scan and still get to the airport in time for my flight and no disruption to my surgery. I doubt if anywhere else would have done this. When I needed my other knee replacing Washington Spire was at the top of my list and I received my surgery on Dec14th again as a NHS patient. Again 100% success, I would recomend Washington Spire as first choice for any procedure as i think they have the highest standards and the most dedicated staff anyone could expect to find anywhere
