The rooms and waiting areas are spotlessly clean, calm and quiet. Nurses are nearby and respond with care and attention to any queries. Information needed before admittance is sent for in advance to your home/online. Timings were good although there was a longer wait for my surgery, once admitted than I'd expected. After surgery there is constant then regular check ups to ensure all is well. My date of birth and address were asked for repeatedly but probably for good reason. Discharge was efficient despite the usual need for time to get medication, discharge letters etc. A tray with tea and biscuits was provided for my relative and myself while we waited. Outside there are green spaces to look out on from the rooms and free parking close to the entrance - or the reception staff will call for a taxi for you. Walking there from Havant station to the Spire is about 40 minutes with the only delay being in trying to cross the road to the entrance road. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I sometimes arrived very early for an appointment (due to ferry/train times from Isle of Wight) and they ensured I knew where to get refreshments as necessary, taking me personally and finding a chef for me. The outpatient department staff are also very efficient with friendly very helpful staff and within sight of the waiting area which has reasonably comfortable chairs and space for all. The screens are mercifully quiet and quite informative, if a bit repetitive after a couple of visits. There is a little separate but visible play area for young children.
