What a fabulous experience. The Department, facilities and all levels of staff were of the highest order.
Being in A&E as a patient is obviously a challenging experience but the level of care and communication was exemplary.
The Doctor in charge of my investigation treated me as a human being, keeping me up to date at every step, which was very reassuring.
Thank you.
I visited A&Ewith my late wife and although we were dealt with compassionately the premises were congested with other patients waiting to be dealt with. Now, the premises are unrecognisable! They are roomy, airy and there were cleaning staff working continuously making me feel safe and comfortable! A & E Scunthorpe is a credit to the NHS and it appears more upgrading is being carried!!
Congratulations NHS, keep up the good work!
Too long without information. Waiting for a decision about the next stage. Receptionists intervened several times to get information.
The DR nurse and ancillary staff were professional kind and attentive. My time in A&E was kept to a minimum and I was kept well informed. The staff overall were outstanding in their caring manner, I have only praise for them
When I arrive and was seen by a triage nurse, who's attitude was disgusting, not caring at all. Then I waited 2 hours, whilst being in exsciating pain, to then be seen by another triage nurse, who actually thought I'd just walk in. She was brilliant and soon got me into an area where I could get as comfy as I could and plus I'd get to be seen by the staff. The nurse looking after was called Peace, and she was the most kindest and understanding nurse, nothing was too much for her. But when it came to the doctors, after doing some test, and me continuing to explain about my pain etc and the amount of discomfort I was in. They were horrible, made me feel like I was making it all up. But if it was for the nurse telling them I need some strong pain relief before they sent me home, I'd of left no better than I walk in. Even though nothing happened and I still have no idea what's wrong, I managed to get some relief from the pain for a few hours.
Always felt they had time for me even though they were busy and had many more serious cases
Experienced high quality service from both A&E and day care emergency centre.
Doctors were good at explaining situation.
Doctor listened and understood my concerns and queries. Offered helpful advice and suggestions. Put my mind at rest. Treated me with respect - did NOT treat me like an OLD lady who wouldn't understand .
I found the care I received excellent
They were brilliant
