I was triaged in good time but left for 5 hours before seeing a doctor and I was in excruciating pain. Sitting was very painful but my pain also made me feel sick or want to pass out. The A & E depart was busy and there were very few places to sit and nowhere to lay down. I had severe chest pain and desperately wanted to lay down. I knew what the cause of my pain was but it took over 6 hours for a doctor to realise that my bloods were giving an inaccurate reading because of my medication. Because of this, I was in severe pain for a very long time. Then the medication that was prescribed me was unavailable, so I had to wait until the next day to pick it up from another pharmacy.

Suggested improvements
Read through my history and medication in good time so that any underlying issues can be picked up sooner. Also, for reception staff to be kinder when enquiring about my wait time instead of fobbing me off and being disrespectful to me and also witnessed her smirking at another patient. Sick bowls also need to be at reception so that any sick patient can have one quickly!
