Jane and Kate( but I mostly dealt with Jane) deliver a highly professional, caring and compassionate service. From day one of introduction I have felt safe and impeccably cared for. Jane is clearly a highly experienced nurse who was able to very quickly assess how I needed my support and information. Nothing was ever too much trouble, no question was ever too stupid. I felt very safe in her hands and her assessment of me at one stage gave me the confidence to seek more help and she was spot on n my need for that.
Great care from both the hospital stoma team and the community team, especially Catherine, Rebecca and Helen. Made an extremely tough time of my life a lot easier with their great standard of care and compassionate understanding.
Also the ladies at Medilink (namely Shannon and Hannah) for their continued support.
I have always found the stoma nurses at Croyder university hospital kind and empathetic. Nothing is too much for them and no question is a silly one. The stoma nurse carol is lovely.
All staff guided me well on how to look after both myself and my stoma.
Th experience of this service was very good.
Our relative was recently diagnosed with colo rectal cancer and the stoma op is the first part of his treatment . It was a huge shock as a retired professional and a keen sports enthusiast he always thought that he was on top of health issues and was rarely ill . He found all of the Stoma Team particularly Carol Bukky Debbie and Samantha to be exceptionally kind and considerate . They were extremely knowledgeable but also provided a detailed understanding of his immediate concerns .
I think the staff are very helpful.
I gave this answer 1) Excellent care and Advice 2) sympathetic ear. Acted professionally.
