Review of Nutrition & Dietetics - Inpatient Adult - Royal Berkshire Hospital
17th January 2023

The marks was on behalf of my wife, [name removed] in Kennick ward. Everything about the hospital in general was fantastic including All nursing categorie, reception and the doctors. Being 78 myself I have been in hospital many times in Nottingham, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol, Bassetlaw and finally Doncaster of which Doncaster was by far the worst I have ever experienced. The staff should spend time in the Royal to see how it should be run

Suggested improvements
Only thing was, the final doctor we had a meeting with my wife and my son said he was going to book my wife in for a CT scan either last week or this week, but would let us know when and what the result was, so we can move forward knowing what the end result would be and when. He also said he was having a meeting last Thu to discuss the situation with other people. As yet we have had no contact with anyone which is a little disappointing.

My son was treated with kindness and compassion when he became distressed and lots of effort was made by staff to distract him and cheer him up

Review of Nutrition & Dietetics - Inpatient Adult - Royal Berkshire Hospital
10th January 2023

During my stay I saw [name removed] and [name removed], they are the kindest and sweetest dietician's that I have ever dealt with. They were fantastic with explaining everything. They including me in every decision and explained all questions, no matter how stupid they seemd to me. They never made me feel they were stupid. Both of them were fantastic advocates for me with both the doctors and the regime with the nurses. They let me go at my speed as a PEG-J tube was very daunting but they understood that. I couldn't have asked for better professionals than [name removed] and [name removed].

Suggested improvements
Literally nothing. I usually have a few mumbles about things but with [name removed] and [name removed] it would be hard to find any fault in the care they provided. They need a pay rise!!

The psychologist always checked in with me to see if I was comfortable.

Suggested improvements
I think a clearer waiting area would be ideal.
