Accommodation is tired and dated .Rooms have baths and few rooms have walk in showers - Therefore my Post Hip replacement operation sanitation became quite stressful when contemplating a wash - became a marathon and a board across a bath , as recommended by staff, was in my opinion a very poor compromise especially as this is private care . Patient's rooms are small ,dated and mine came with stained furnishings .The room became cluttered with aids such as zimmers and crutches and there were no pictures or prints on the walls. A very soulless room. Again not what is expected in a private hospital. The reception area has a stained carpet and is dark which was remarked on by visitors. Cafeteria closed at the weekends so no snacks or decent coffees available for guest and visitors. Advise to ask to see room before deciding if this is where you want to stay .I stayed for only a few days and despite telling myself that I was there for surgery I became very stressed about the accommodation and left as soon as I could. I wouldn't go back there as the excellent surgeon who carried out the operation works in other more attractive hospitals. In conclusion not impressed at all with BMI Ross Hall Hospital
