My husband came into the hospital at 16:00 in AF they forgot about him and I had to chase several times for him to have is ECG. It was eventually done @19:45 and just before it was done I heard the nurse in charge ask the ED assistant to sort it and he said I’m sorry I’m filling the trolleys I think he name was Christian. Then I asked what was happening and Christian spoke to me like I was a child. I said that I overheard him saying that filling the trolleys was more important than my husbands ECG and then he tried to argue with me. After my husbands ECG that came out as AF they said they were going to move him to another area to be seen by a doctor. Over 2 hours later still not seen and not moved to another area. So again I went to speak to a nurse who didn’t even just give me a chance to talk just told me that my husband would have to wait 9-12 hours. Would not even listen when I tried to explain that my husband had AF when the ECG was done. The staff have no compassion.
Doctor was good, no issue.
Staff dealing with appointment nurse/care assts ?
Absolute shambles, had notes, lost notes, lied about notes, found notes. Communicating with patients was poor, not just my appointment observed two others with same issue. The majority of time staff were standing around talking about what they watched on TV, what they were having for dinner.
Took over 2 hours to be given paon relief was left in the corridor for 18 hoirs with my leg dangling whilst it was fractured
Dreadful experience, the worst of all time. This is by far the worst hospital ever.
Communication is beyond appalling & you are never ever told anything at all.
Staff are extremely unfriendly & very unprofessional indeed.
I actually fear for anyone who has to go to this hospital.
Everyone knows just how bad Queens Hospital is & you do absolutely nothing at all about it as you are not bothered, concerned or interested in the slightest, it’s utterly appalling & shameful just how bad this abysmal place is. People have given up on making formal complaints as not a single one of them is acted upon or dealt with, no one is bothered.
I was left for 20 hours in excruciating pain until I was seen by a doctor. Had to sit/sleep on a metal hard chair in the corridor.
A contrasting positive experience for my mother and those accompanying her compared to a nearby sister hospital. This time, she felt more heard and we were able to observe that questions and reasons were directed to mum rather than deferred to us.
Overall experience was positive. Very caring staff, want to thank for their job and dedication.
The nursing staff were not equally attentive and in a lot of cases, it felt like being cattle herded, from one booth to another. This was a hectic clinic, making me more anxious and scared of my situation.
The doctor at the end was lacking in compassion and support, though he did tell me what was what, I felt scared about my operation and treatments.
Explained fully and I understood.
Both doctors and nurse excellent and a Saturday appointment.
Receptionist also very nice.
