26th April 2024

Doctors and nurses was extremely helpful and supportive whilst I was in their care.

Suggested improvements
As a diabetic, I was told by the ambulance people not to take medication with me as the hospital has the medication but they did not have a fridge to place insulin neither did they have insulin. After being in there from 6pm (Saturday 20th April) I requested that I could have a sandwich and some insulin as I was due, I was told "we don't supply food only at lunch time" so they did not have insulin or food. I was offered a digestive biscuit which was full of sugar and a cup of coffee which did not taste nice. All I had from the time I got into hospital at 6pm the only I had to eat was a sandwich at noon the next day. I was not offered any medication or no other food until my wife and daughter came in at 6pm with insulin, medication and food. I was placed behind a door where the ambulance entrance is, I requested to move but I did not get moved, I then asked my daughter to call up to see if i could either get moved or could get given blankets and they gave me a sheet and a blanket but I was still very cold.
