Review of Sahara Ward B written by a patient
23rd April 2016

Staff tend to make a lot of unnecessary noise during the night, ie chatting. I have type 2 diabetes and was given foods, including orange juice, that was high in sugar. Takes too long for someone to respond to buzzer.

Nurses and care assistants all very nice and attentive my only negative is how noisy where I was after surgery when suffering with headache, but do realise this can't be helped due to having to be in high dependency after surgery.

Discharge procedure extremely poor. Told discharge would take a couple of hours ward round at 10:00 am. 6 hours later still waiting for medication from pharmacy and documentation.

Review of Cornflower Ward B written by a patient
23rd April 2016

The care from all staff especially Jean Kalitsi was excellent, also ward manager really helped me. Unfortunately this all gets let down by rude doctors, bad bedside manner, lack of communication!! I had to call pals and chief executive while I was admitted which is such a shame. Also the food is terrible, the new way they are doing it, baked up looks awful, presentation horrible. Bring back the trolley! Need new menu, boring.
