It took quite a few visits to my GP before I was eventually referred to the MSK clinic and then the wait for physio was around 6 weeks. The care I have received at every stage has been excellent and I am more than happy with the treatment I am now receiving, however it did take a while to reach this point. An area which I believe could be improved is the appointments system. I was sent a letter asking me to log on to choose 2 times lot for telephone consultation, I waited around 3 weeks for this, only to be given an appointment over the phone straight away with no questions asked. I was then told by the physio that he wanted to see me again ASAP however there are no appointments for 2 weeks. I understand waiting times and the demand on the service however, it concerns me that I may need to wait a similar length of time between each appointment- maybe given out a couple of appointment in advance maybe.
