I was really impressed with how lovely the staff were. I was greeted by staff as soon as I arrived and told about a possible delay. Really felt comfortable during my visit

Review of CHOC Day Unit written by a patient
22nd November 2018

Cannot find a fault with care in any way. Other patients very interesting and sociable. Even provide free lunch and hot drinks! Apart from not being very well and sometimes rather poorly, it is a rather pleasant stay. Nothing is too much for the wonderful staff. Thankyou

Review of Eye Day Case written by a patient
22nd November 2018

Although obviously busy, all the staff treated everyone as individuals - taking time to explain everything and showed utmost care. It is above the general level of experience in QA. Other than the inevitable waiting, no suggestions for improvement.

Review of Pre-op assessment Outpatient Area written by a patient

There three parts to the process - each followed promptly on from the other. Waiting time was short. The staff were friendly and considerate and combined their respective professionalism with lightness of touch and a sense of humour.

Review of Fast Access Chest Pain clinic written by a patient
16th November 2018

I was extremely pleased with the care and service experience. I was advised all the way through as to what was happening , including time scales ,the staff were very friendly and apologetic for the slight delay, as far as my personal experience went ,I do not have any complaints. I went away feeling happier with peace of mind.

Review of G5 (Private ward) written by a patient
15th November 2018

Excellent care by all staff, from Consultants to cleaning staff. Everyone very polite and helpful, explaining exactly what they needed to do. Improvements could be made with the free WiFi. It is extremely basic and complety unable to support streaming. The television is barely adequate, a 16:9 format image displaying on a 4:3 TV is not ideal. Too much lost on picture width and no apparent means of adjusting the image. However, overall, very happy with care provided.

Review of Acute Medical Unit written by a patient
11th November 2018

I presented with radiating chest pain and I was impressed by the way I was quickly assessed by the navigation nurse, then by the A&E GP, then spent time in Ambulatory Emergency Care where I had further investigations. It was a very efficient, caring and calm area to be in, and I would like to thank everyone for being so thorough and making the time I spent there as comfortable as possible.

Review of E1 written by a patient
10th November 2018

I was treated for appendicitis 21/8/2018 (just realised I didn’t hand in my evaluation). The staff were outstanding. More than anything I was overwhelmed for the support they gave me to enable me to continue breastfeed my little boy as much as possible, who was 4 months. I was given a side room, a cot which went next to my bed & a breast pump when it transpired my infection was too great and I needed stronger medication which was dangerous for my baby. I was informed and made equipped to ensure that my baby was safe and could feed again when safe. All staff made me feel supported with my care and my ability to parent. Thank you especially for the member of staff who also breastfed (had experienced having to pump at work) as I feel she may have contributed to the support I Received. I feel extremely lucky that the staff examined me thoroughly to find out what was wrong with me, they treated me quick and supported me to continue breastfeeding.
